After meticulous research on terpene profiles and product lineage, I wrote the strain descriptions for each of Island Cannabis Co.’s standardized, brand-owned strains. Each description was carefully crafted to detail not only the intended effects, but also nose/flavor profile and a warm introduction that could be inviting to a user with any level of cannabis familiarity. In collaboration with the marketing team, I helped to create a unique, California-themed name for each of the strains while maintaining the integrity of historical cannabis strain naming conventions.

Cannabis doesn’t have to be complicated. We’re firm believers in the fact that good times should be sunny, straightforward, simple—and most importantly, approachable. 

Island is a lifestyle cannabis company grown in California with a Golden State of mind, made to inspire every kind of good time. So, where does our product come from? It comes from exactly where you’d imagine it should come from. Our flower is grown in sustainable and intimately cared for farms spanning across the state in what we call our Endless Harvest. Our farm in the history-rich appellation of Humboldt county, for example: Eel River Organics, nestled among the redwoods right alongside the Eel River. Cared for by a devoted 4th-generation cannabis farmers, Ty and Hilary with their family, Eel River Organics is a truly sustainable product of the earth. All of the cannabis is dry farmed, meaning the water source comes directly from the tap root of the earth and the plant’s necessary nutrients are pulled from the richness of the land itself. Coupled with Eel River Organics, our farms in Santa Cruz and Monterey allow us to provide a truly endless harvest with carefully cared for, sustainably farmed, terpene-rich, top-quality cannabis. As a vertically integrated company, we can ensure our flower is always fresh and readily available, harvested by humans who pour their passion and pride into the land. 

Our passion for the plant doesn’t stop at our farms. While Island is a brand dedicated to a laid-back lifestyle, our production process is anything but. Long before California’s regulations mandated it, we were triple-testing to ensure our product exceeded safety and quality standards. We’ve also dedicated resources to becoming the best-in-class when it comes to our manufacturing and improving our packaging to be made more sustainably. The boxes that house our Classics are produced at a facility utilizing 100% wind energy, and our Minis tins are fully recyclable and heat-sealed to preserve the freshness and flavor of each of the prerolls inside. We’ll never package anything but California’s finest.

The hard work poured into our entire process makes it all the more easier for you to kick back, relax, and enjoy the California dream. We aim to bring you the state’s sunshine in every jar, tin, and box, so you can head to your next adventure with Island in tow and celebrate the wonder the Golden Coast has to offer.
